Diavik Diamond Mines Inc. (DDMI)
DDMI operates the Diavik Diamond Mine, located in Canada's remote North, 300 kilometres northeast of Yellowknife.
As Diavik’s kimberlite pipes were located just off shore of East Island, water diversion structures, called dikes, were built to temporarily hold back the waters of Lac de Gras to allow mining.
MSI’s role in the DDMI project was to establish and maintain a deformation monitoring program for the A154 dike. This monitoring program began in June of 2003 and is ongoing. |
