Batavia, Illinois is home to the world´s highest-energy physics laboratory named Fermilab. The Tevatron is the world's highest-energy particle accelerator which is four miles in circumference and contains 1,000 superconducting magnets. MSI has been contracted a number of times by the Universities Research Association to maintain precise alignment of the particle accelerator and other experiments at Fermilab.
