Introducing high density LiDAR as a service in 2018 has given MSI the ability to complete high-level point to point change detection comparing two datasets. This project focused on monitoring the active river valley around a client asset. Generating a point to point difference on datasets from 2018 and 2019, MSI created a deliverable showing the active banks and changes directly affecting the asset.
Deliverables
An interactive 3D model where the client was able to access both datasets and view the areas of interest. The client was also given the ability to create custom cross sections of the data to view changes. See examples below.
